Where did I post that the shooter was smoking marijuana? I was simply inferring that the atmosphere outside the arena was not the typical family-friendly environment that the Thunder games have typically been in the past. Also, if you stand outside of an arena in front of thousands of people and several police officers and openly smoke weed, then you're a complete idiot.

I didn't say anything about race, just that there were lots of scalpers along with their runners. Most of which in my opionion can be thuggish, depending on how you define a "thug". In this instance, I'm defining a "thug" as loud, overly aggressive at times, pushy and rude. Does that mean everyone that scalps tickets is that way......NO....just a general observation from what I've witnessed.

My point was success brings alot more than just fans to the area!

no you were insinuating that "unsavory characters" were smoking weed in front of the arena. the "unsavory characters" comment is why I thought thats what you were implying. also, lets be real here. did the cops say anything to guys smoking? probably not, and if so then how come its legally fine for people to walk around smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol which are both more harmful than weed has ever been? where does the idiocy really begin?

I don't know whether or not any citations were issued or not. I was outside the arena long enough for my buddy to smoke a cigarette. I'm not arguing whether or not marijuana should be legalized. However, the fact is that it is illegal and people who are openly doing it in public obviously don't care if they get caught. Also, an arena worker was going around sweeping up all the litter around the outside of the building. One of the persons of the group in question threw and shattered a beer bottle right behind him as the whole group laughed as he swept it up. Apparently these guys must of been from a church group. Fine, upstanding citizens indeed...

Openly committing crimes in public is one of my criteria for determining unsavory characters. Most people don't want their families and children exposed to that type of stuff, but I guess everyone is entitled to their own level of moral standards. Thank god my kids weren't there to witness this street trash. Who knows, maybe I'll take them to the zoo to see some more civilized animals...
