Welcome to the new NBA. Four quarters of dance competition (Thunder Girls vs. the Laker Girls!) interrupted by brief displays of basketball.
Finish this sentence, 'I never leave home without _________'. 'Mascara, Cell phone and Pepper Spray' says Thunder Girl Hayley.
Monday was the most people I had ever seen in Thunder Alley until tonight. The garbage in the streets was the worst I have seen. So worth it walking out chanting OKC, though.
It was a lot of fun. We got there just before tip, so we had a hard time finding a place to set up our chairs. When we finally found a spot, there were people walking in front of us nearly the whole game. You know how annoying it is when someone walks in front of the TV while you're trying to watch? Imagine that happening hundreds of times during the game. Other than that, it was great. There was a lot of energy in the crowd. We got our own "O-K-C" and "BEAT L.A." chants going. That missed 3 by KD that would have tied the game late, the crowd was ready to go ballistic.
The end of the game was confusing as we could barely hear the commentary, so we weren't sure what was going on.
I was in the arena and I had trouble figuring out what was going on after Steve Blake's missed 3 in the corner. I think Coach Brooks called timeout after the miss but then wanted to take it back after he saw we took the ball up the court. Then KD missing his 2nd FT (after it looked like he might have traveled receiving the inbounds pass) intentionally but not hitting the rim.

Love these. I am glad they gave a break to the "team is" concept. It was fresh for a bit, but I am glad they changed it up.
