Once again, I'm long CHK ............ where are you at big boy ??

When they drag the Thunder into this, it becomes petty jealousy.
btw, via your link, CHK is 15.52. feb 2011 it was 37.20. But, what do I know. but i get it, you're not wrong, ever. funny how some guy is going to come in, buy 5% of the company, try to force the board to sell off assets, and then he'll sell. All the guy ever does, but I don't know anything. and you're gonna continue to be condescending and not explain how it's jealousy.

if your argument is "when they drag the thunder" is your argument, it's a lost cause. it's like starting your argument out with "But the bible says.."

I'm not about to get into something that complicated on a Thunder message board.

Yes, I think everyone in the ***** must know about CHK's financial problems right now, but 95% of these media stories, is nothing but horse hockey. And if we'd had a normal cold winter this past year, Darren Rovell would not be draggin this crap up, at the behest of his superiors.

    The tickets are chickenfeed.

And " dire need of money " is a gross over simplification. You should stick to teaching people about the NBA on twitter.
I agree with you on the ticket thing. It is chicken feed, and this article is bandwagonning. They have a right to write it, and there's nothing wrong with questioning these things. It's a valid issue, albeit off-base in this instance.

As far as 95% of the Chesapeake articles being "horse hockey", as you so eloquently put it, well that seems to be a stretch. There's a lot of smoke and questionable activity next door to Whole Foods, and I think it's healthy it's being investigated. I hope to the bottom of my heart it is all on the up and up and Chesapeake continues to be a big part of the OKC landscape (as I think the vast majority of Oklahomans do) but I am also grateful we have people who investigate wayward corporations. Lots of jobs and livelihoods are on the line, and history tells us corporations don't always seem to have the interest of the working man in mind.

    For now...Thunder the **** up!

Every company that supports the thunder gives away tickets. Devon gives away over 100 per game in a drawing that anyone can enter. Probably closer to 200 and not one employee pays for squat. The only reason this is a story is because McClendon is an a-hole and his company looks like crap right now.

Big surprise, guys on a basketball forum have zero idea about finance and watching them trying to tie the two together is the highest of comedy.

Thank you, I tried my best to keep this off this forum, its far too complex for a basketball board.

If this were an issue, then they could simply sell these tickets to the thousand or so people on the waiting list to buy Thunder season tickets. NBA sponsors buy tickets to give away. NBA owners do this also. If you don't like the Thunder and the fact they're in Oklahoma, you can trump up all sorts of stories.

I got my True Blue Club packet in the mail yesterday. My priority number is in the 900s...so yeah, it's a long list.
