It wasn't looking good in the middle of the 4th, but Utah plays hard even if they aren't that talented. I respect that.

What was with Sanders bum rushing the referee? I know he was stopped, but damn, that was scary for a minute.
I'm really starting to notice a significant number of Thunder blue and KD jerseys in opposing arenas. Quite a few out there tonight.

Dang, that looks good, being the #1 seed in the West with only 9 games remaining in the regular season.

I've not been closely following the NBA for a large number of years, just since the Hornets came to OKC. But somewhere, I got the idea that Pop's rests the Spurs starters every year, and this is not something new he's doing because of the compressed schedule.
I was almost sure of that, till I just turned on the radio and heard Bob Barry Jr going on about what an interesting strategy the Spurs had come up with , to sit their stars last night. He went on a while about it, as if it were something new .
Am I wrong that the Spurs don't pay much attention to the regular season every year ??
I think I would take the Lakers. Though Kobe should be back in their lineup soon, it sounds like he has been playing with injuries all year, and despite leading the league in scoring, has a low FG%. Bynum is the only other player that scares me on that team. Grizzlies on the other hand seem like a more complete team.

I think we would beat either one, but the Lakers would be easier physically for the next round.
Pops has been resting his starters down the stretch for awhile, at least in recent years with Duncan getting older (though he's still very good). He's been pretty vocal about some of this seasons unique scheduling (5 games in 7 days, 3 games in 3 days, etc.) so it sounds like the #1 seed is less important than having his main players fresh for the playoffs. Like OKC, S.A. already knows they are a Top 2 seed so there is not a lot for them to play for otherwise in the regular season.

The Basketball Jones thought Pop's has lost his mind by sitting his stars.
Me, I think Pops knows the Thunder won't win out and probably have a tougher remaining schedule than the Spurs.
Good show today by The Jones, wish we had local radio just half this good ........

Possible, but the Spurs have a brutal stretch from here on out. I don't mean so much as which teams they play as I do how often they are playing. Beginning tomorrow they have four back to backs and a back to back to back still left, including three games against the Lakers and one against the Griz, albeit at home. I suspect the Spurs will lost at least two more, probably three, and that the starters will be rested at least two more times before the year ends.
