According to Brian K Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel, the Oklahoma City Thunder denied the Magic's offer of trading Dwight Howard for James Harden and Serge Ibaka.

That article looks like it was written by a 7th grader with little knowledge of basketball.

According to this article, Harden only averages 12.2 points per game, although NBA.com has him at 16.8 PPG. If this really happened it was probably Presti laughing at Otis Smith as he hung up the phone. Yeah we'll rent Dwight for 3 months for our 3rd and 4th best players...

Obviously any trade would be a sign and trade. Still, I don't see any way he comes here.

On second thought, OKC would destroy everyone in the west and sweep the heat too. Instant ring

    ..

But you trade away part of the teams soul for a rent a player buy a ring, lose team morale, and dwight probably leaves anyway

I'm not sure we'd be a lock to win with Howard anyway with those other two gone.

Bleacher Report "articles" are pretty much nothing more than fan blogs. They do not hire paid journalists or staff anyone with anymore inside information than you or me.

I love this writer's assertion on why the Thunder shot down Orlando's trade offer: Ibaka averages more blocks and Harden averages more assists. Pure genius! That must be how Sam Presti decides all of his roster moves...

Exactly. He doesn't have the first clue how Presti makes his choices. Even we, as Thunder fans, aren't privy to every one of those reasons. But make no mistake, there is ALWAYS a method behind Presti's madness - which is something we, as Thunder fans, understand, and others don't seem to be able to grasp.

It wasn't stupidity that led Sam Presti to put together a team that stands dominant atop the Western Conference...
