I live in south central Oklahoma and I know during baseball season I get all the Rangers' games that are on FSN Southwest. When they are televised on the local UHF channel (my27) in Dallas those are shown on the FSN Southwest alternate channel (677).
Pontotoc, isn't that like Ada? I doubt that is outside the 75 mile range, at least not as the crow flies. I think that the whole 75 mile range thing sounded really fishy. OKC wants to capitalize on a much larger region than that. I'd be interested in seeing a map of its exclusive area with other franchises' exclusive broadcast areas. Why are Wichita, Amarillo, Tulsa, Lawton, Fort Smith, NW Ark, and Joplin not included in OKC's broadcasting area?

To me..it sounds like OKC got screwed. Looks like our broadcasting area is practically an OKC County within the State of Dallas.

I drive to ADA once a week and it is about a 90 mile drive. Not sure about the crow flies thing.

I hope Pauls Valley gets within the 75 mile range. Someone said that we are right on the edge of it. Not sure about that though . I`m glad I do have Dish as well.
    It`s game TIME!!!

The way I have read the release from the Thunder is Fox Sports Southwest here in Oklahoma City will turn into Fox Sports Oklahoma still channel 37 on basic cable. So I don't think any new negotiating will need to be done. Since the Thunder release did not cover Dish I am hoping the same will apply there. In addititon I am assuming & hoping outside of Thunder games we will still get all the college football & BB broadcast as FSN SW.
And on the 75 mile rule if I read all the releases on this issue correctly that only applies to people in Oklahoma that will still get some Mavericks games when they do not conflict with Thunder games.

They had an article on the front page of the Daily Oklahoman sports today that actually listed the FS-OK channel number on Cox, DirecTV, and Dish Network which I hadn't seen in any of the online articles or team press releases.

    Based on this article: http://newsok.com/fox-sports-oklahom...?tm=1222743648

Only people outside the 75 mile radius of OKC will have a chance to see Mavericks games now.

But will people outside of the 75 mile radius get many chances to watch Thunder games? That's what's important. There's a LOT of OKC fan base outside that 75 mile radius.

    The article's quote ...

In past seasons, FSN Southwest has aired Dallas Mavericks games in Oklahoma. Fox Sports Oklahoma still will air some Mavericks telecasts to homes outside a 75-mile radius of Oklahoma City — the Thunder's primary NBA territory.
... isn't intended, I don't think, to say where the Thunder games will be available, it is intended to say where Mavericks games either will or might be also available, i.e., not within a 75-mile radius of Oklahoma City. Within that zone, we will be so deprived in not getting to watch the Mavs play! NOT!

From other articles, it appears to be rather clear that FSN Oklahoma will pretty much, if not totally, cover all of Oklahoma. Can you imagine, for example, that FSN Oklahoma would not include TULSA, which is beyond the 75 mile radius from OKC?

I won't have access again to the sports page of the Daily OK until tonight but it is on page 1 on the right hand side. Also, they say the Thunder games will be available to ALL of Oklahoma and a very small part of Arkansas and same for Kansas. The exact wording is in the sports page I read this morning.

I can't imagine that, but it sounds almost like the rest of Oklahoma is going to be subject to a medley of Thunder and Mavs, unless the Mavs already had exclusive territorial rights, which I don't know but that could also have been the case, and that would be much to OKC's grave detriment. I hope that's not the case at all and that Tulsa, Lawton, and beyond are included in the FS Oklahoma broadcast range.

What I really want to know is what about the border areas, like Fort Smith, Joplin, Wichita, Wichita Falls, etc. Amarillo, even. That would be greatly impacted by whether KC ends up getting an NBA team. OKC has a lot of Chiefs fans, would they return the favor in an NBA scenario, or just keep on blaming OKC as the reason their already-over-extended market didn't attract an NBA team for the Sprint?

It won't launch until late October but it should be the same DirecTV number that the Fox Sports SW is now assuming you are in Oklahoma. This new channel covers ALL of Oklahoma.

It turned out to be page 3 of the sports where it said:

    Cox 37
    DirecTV 676
    Dish Network 416

It also says the channel broadcast area covers all of Oklahoma and small parts of NW Arkansas and southern Kansas.
