Those are just marvelous.

Everyone looks like they had a great time that day. I heard there was some sort of spending limit, I think $1,000 per player or some such, and that several of the players kept encouraging the kids to buy, and then paid for it themselves if it was over the limit. I realize they can afford it with no problem, but that's not the point.

I also heard that Nick Collison even took a basketball goal home for a family that couldn't fit it in their vehicle, and helped them put it up in their yard. I know he caught some grief from fans around here for saying he wanted the team to stay in Seattle, but as far as I'm concerned, everyone should now give him a free pass for life on that. He may be from Iowa and live in Seattle, but he's an Okie at heart.
