An article in Wednesday's paper said there are about 1,000 tickets left for this game (mainly $10 - $20).

Game time is 7pm on Friday at Ford Center.

Wolves are due for a win unfortunately. I was hoping they'd pick one up these last couple of games. No such luck...

They won at Detroit earlier this week. I'd say both teams are (over)due for another win.

Prediction:

Thunder 98
T-Wolves 93

tiebreaker: 16 (assists by Watson/Westbrook)

In the first meeting at home, the Thunder were 2 point favorites. Tonight the T-Wolves are 2 point favorites. That's not good when we can't be favored at home over this team. Not that it really matters, point spreads are just a curiosity thing to me.

D-Mase will be back on the court tonight coming off the bench. There was another article in the local paper today saying Swift will be out longer (though day to day is the official word).

That ending was brutal. How many almost wins does it take to cash in for an actual win?

I turned to my wife and said this can not be happening again. She said and I quote, "yeah but the t-wolves uniforms are uglier than ours." I said yeah I am sure that would make the guys feel better. Atleast she made me laugh when i was ready to throw something at the t.v. She asked me "would you rather lose by 30 or by 1?" I know my blood pressure is going thru the roof but I told her I would rather it be by 1. What do you guys think?

Tonight was painful and yet, up until the last second, everyone in the crowd was having fun. People were staying, and the noise was deafening. So, I would have to say that tonight's game and the Suns game were far better for the fans. It is really, really hard, though, to smell victory and have it snatched away. I felt very bad for the players too, as well as Coach Brooks. To work that hard and lose at home must be tough to handle. There were some really dejected faces going into the locker room tonight. Jeff Green pulled his jersey up over his head. There were a couple of kids who wanted to high five Russell Westbrook, and you can tell he thought about not going over to them. In the end, he did, but there was obviously no enthusiasm.

Oh, and the T-wolves uniforms are FAR uglier than our road unis, although that wasn't much consolation.

I don't know. How many times do you almost win the lottery before it actually happens? :D. Losing a close game is like getting 3 straight numbers right on a ticket, only for the fourth to be off by 1.

By the way, the NBA record for consecutive losses is 23. If we keep losing, 23, 24 and 25 would be at home the middle of December.

My family and I are OSU people ... so it didn't help that, right at the top of level 3 where the DJ was loudly playing Boomer Sooner (fair enough so far, given the game today). Then, he started to play Ride 'em Cowboys or whatever that song is called ... EXCEPT ... that he stopped it after a few seconds and said, "That's enough, don't want to hear any more of that loser's song." Funny for OU fans. Not for OSU fans. If he'd have been even handed, that would have been fine. Pissed me off.

Now, better things: Did you see your face get zoomed in on, Betts, on the video display? And, I'm sure that everyone noticed that Eggman (Josh probably needs a new name) got a full page in the game program, describing all of the parts of his attire!

I thought I saw Betts on the Thunder front page the other day after the Suns game. She was doing her regular hands up screaming. She looked intense. Don't mess with Betts when she Hulks up like that.:)

Going through rebuilding (more like expansion with the move) is SSSSOOOOO difficult. One would think when 2 teams face each other and both are bad the refs would call it even but alas they dont. Outside of the Phoenix game it seems like we never get a crucial call and the one on Wilcox at the end last night was awful absolutely awful and despite all the other things we did wrong last night that call cost us the game.

At half when they asked for the noise from ou/osu fans I turned to my wife and said it was the loudest I had ever heard it at a Thunder game. And since I missed the Phoenix game it was. But in the 4th qtr OKC really cranked up the decibals and now it is truly Loud City again. It feels as if we are really close to breaking out and the near future schedule really helps.

Regardless of what anyone says, we basically have an expansion team plus Kevin Durant. And yes, it is difficult. But I feel pretty accepting of how bad we are, until we almost win. I really want the team to win for the coach and the players more than me. I felt really bad for them after the Phoenix and T-Wolves game. I don't care if they're paid professionals. Most of them are the same ages as my kids, and I can guarantee you most of them are closer to the teenage mentality than the adult mentality. Kids want to win, and they're crushed when they don't.

Regarding the refs. I'm probably going to sound paranoid, but after that call on Wilcox last night, in conjunction with some of the other calls I've seen, I'm beginning to wonder. We all know that the star players are treated differently by the refs. It's probably subconscious, as I don't think they're all making deliberate plans to call fouls on the person guarding the stars. But, I cannot imagine the refs, like most of the players in the league, weren't upset about the Sonics leaving Seattle. We're the NBA rookies as a group, and I've wondered if anyone playing us gets the benefit of the doubt when there are calls to be made. You'd have to sit down with tape, watch all the games, and see if bad calls are evenly distributed. Clearly, we don't notice the bad calls made against the other team. It's probably just perception, but that call on Wilcox was terrible, and it may well have changed the result of the game.

There a DJ up in Loud City? I didn't hear Boomer Sooner. I agree (and I'm a Sooner fan), that was a terrible thing to say and do, regarding the Cowboys' song and his comments.

Sorry Betts Ive gotta disagree here... The T-Wolves unis bring back a touch of the gaudy-yet-fun panache that the NBA has been famous for. The bright green that the players match their shoes with is awesome. Their home court is also one of the best in the league. They have really dark wood for 60% of their court - it's bee-yoo-tee-full.

The Thunder jerseys have absolutely nothing going for them. They suck inside and out, upside and down. From the generic font to the tired color combo to the worst logo in professional sports (except for the Washington Wizards) - this whole concept was an "F" from the court to the uniforms to the logos.

sorry, rant is now off.

Sometimes, sometimes not. At least if not more often, the drummers have been there on the landing before you reach the stairs/escalators. Sometimes no extras. No pattern to it, that I have recognized.
