View Full Version : Denver Post calls KD Soft and Thunder Hotheads

Denver Post columnist with some pretty ugly things to say about the Thunder. He calls the Thunder a bunch of hotheads and Durant soft. I call sour grapes....
As a championship contender, Oklahoma City is a fraud. The Thunder is a collection of soft jump-shooters and irritable hotheads. This young team has undeniable basketball ability but a lot of growing up to do.
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, the Thunder's best players, received technical fouls by whining at the refs for perceived injustices.
The jump shot of Durant, who doesn't like to get dirty, has betrayed him for most of this series. He is soft and adds little besides scoring. Wasn't that the rap on Anthony in Denver?
That's not a chip on the shoulder of Westbrook, but a whole bag of Hershey morsels. Here's betting he will implode when push comes to shove in later postseason rounds as the tension builds.
These flaws won't cost the Thunder against the Nuggets. No team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in a playoff series.
But Oklahoma City cannot beat San Antonio or Memphis this way, much less the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.

Yeah, too bad we had the Lakers on the ropes last season in our first shot without a post presence. Somebody buy this clown a pacifier.

Its funny, I already knew who the author was before I even read the article. This guy makes Tramel look like a Pulitzer Prize winner. Newspapers shouldn't let fans of a team write about that team. Oh well he will have to find something new to write about after tomorrow night.

He seems like a pretty sorry fan, "My team is getting it's butt kicked by soft, hotheaded, frauds."

It's called emotion you idiot. You know, that thing that teams who are trying to win games have.
Actually, that last remark was out of line. The nuggets are trying to win games, they just suck at it.
Jenni Carlson thinks this guy sucks at writing columns.
Writing about sports.
He sucks.

That is hilarious. "Well, we know we can't beat them, but I'm pretty sure one of the other 6 teams in the Western Conference can." Thank you for picking the field, idiot. Real ground breaking journalism there.

Haha I was more referring to some of the homer pieces that he's written earlier in the series. He's not afraid to throw insults at whoever is playing Denver, that's for sure. That's alright, like I said earlier, tomorrow night it's full on Rockies season up there so he'll have to whine about something else. Meanwhile our fraud of a team will be moving on to play one of those two teams he said we had no chance to beat. Lol.

I never see our writers talk bad about the other teams that away that's crazy. Our team is anything but soft and he says we complain about calls does he not see JR Smith. It's amazing to me that we suck so bad but have a good shot at a sweep. Is it just me or does more media people hate us than anybody?

we may be going from the darlings of the league to the outlaws....which by the way suits me fine.
This is turning into a very sticky situation, because I'm just not sure there's enough kleenex in the world for Seattle AND Denver. I mean, seriously.....that's A LOT of kleenex. I just don't think there's enough supply to meet the demand.

This is great! Care if I steal it? I think I'm going to get drunk and troll the Denver boards tonight. Anybody up for some fun?
