I have been invited to a conference with Sam Presti Friday before the game. The topic will be the direction of the franchise and the future. I plan to attend and if at all possible I will record it and bring it back to our forum. I may have the chance to ask some questions, but we'll see.

I'd be curious how he addresses teams like Dallas and Orlando making trades to improve weak areas, while OKC stands pat. I'm all for developing a team and keeping chemistry, but I sure wouldn't mind finding a way to bring in a big man or a legit 3-pt threat.

Also does he regret not trading draft picks, oil wells, chicken wings, whatever to get Blake Griffin when he was available in the draft. lol

Ask him what kind of product he puts in his hair.

Goodness gracious. You must have been very good last year. Or do you have photos of Bennett or Bennett's wife in a compromising position? Have fun. He'll probably give the same variety answers ("we're looking to build something long-term....yada...yada....yada"), but its cool, nonetheless.

After the 2009 lottery, there was a lot of discussion about the Thunder (and the Grizzlies for that matter) trying to trade up to get the #1 pick. The thought was that if someone would take on Baron Davis' contract, something could possibly be worked out. The talk around here was that we'd offer the #3 pick and Uncle Jeff for the #1 pick and Davis. Everyone knew that it was a one-player draft and that Griffin was by FAR the best player available. The Clippers made it clear that they were NOT going to trade the pick, though - one good decision in 25 years.

In hindsight, I don't think we'd have had the chance to get Griffin. We were slotted to pick #6, we moved up to #3 (I remember the AGONIZING commercial break when we broke through to get one of the top 3 picks!), and we got Harden. Of COURSE we'd rather have Griffin. But for our needs, I'd rather have Harden than Thabeet, Blond Ricky or Evans or Curry.

Ive been soo fortunate this year. Its unreal! Yea, I think most of his statements will be 'rehearsed' answers, but we'll see.

Of course they would've...for a guy named Kevin Durant.

I think they were going to keep the pick unless it was just a crazy offer.

Do you know what questions you're going to ask if given the chance?

Ask him when we are going to get a bobblehead (other than the 2 Rumble ones).

I wanna know you have to sleep with to get all of this stuff...

If they let you ask your own questions (I doubt it, but they might), ask something tough...try to get into Presti's head. Like, if we can compete for a title this year, or if whether or not the Thunder are still looking into signing Jeff Green. Obviously those aren't that tough, but they were just the ones that came to mind.

One more, ask him which is more important: Talent and the team meshing correctly or locker room chemistry.

Ask him if in the offseason he'll try to sign Tyson Chandler if Dallas doesn't sign him to an extension first. :)

I would like to know what he thinks of our young bigs and the way they are developing. If they are on pace or if he has started thinking we need to be looking for a fa or a trade. That's my only question at this point.

That would be a great question to ask, and I hope he'd answer honestly. I remember asking Brooks a similar question about Ibaka (who was in Italy at the time) at our first season ticket holders party (spring 2009). Brooks said that Presti was on his way to watch Ibaka play in Europe, and that he was "really long and athletic". I remember my response very clearly: "that sounds like Mohammad Sene!" Brooks laughed and said, "trust me, Serge is better than Mo Sene".

Hopefully, Presti will be as open and honest about Mullens, Aldrich and Pleiss.

Donald Sterling of the Clippers may be the most passive NBA franchise owner; I wouldn't think that he would give up Blake Griffin to the Thunder when there are teams like Boston, Dallas, New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles Lakers who would pay top dollar in a trade. Sterling could contract alzheimer's and not sign off on that move.
