The Thunder are 1-8 but have a chance against Philly to win one on the road. Gametime is 6pm Central on Saturday and it will be shown on KSBI-TV (as 17 of the 82 Thunder games will be).

Someone needs to write this team a new script. Fall behind big, claw their way back to the point you actually have hope, then break your heart by falling short. Maybe tonight will be different.
Thunder: 92
Sixers: 87
Tiebreaker: Durant scores 24.
Second tiebreaker: Santa makes an appearance at halftime and is booed off the court.

Here's hoping Brand and his guys don't have a big night against OKC...we need a hot start tonight and then maintain through the game and try to win it down the stretch...

Wow. thanks a ton. Hate to say it, but this game will be like walking into a buzzsaw. The Sixers are a good team and they got off to a horrible start at 2-5. Now they're on a 2 game roll and headed back home. I think our shot at a win was last night, not tonight.

My fortune cookie last night told me yellow would be a lucky color for me today. I'm going to wear my yellow Thunder t-shirt to watch the game tonight. Ya think it'll do the trick? ;) Even bad teams usually win at least 18 games a season.

I think I have (foolishly) predicted the Thunder to win 8 of their first 9 and it has gone the other way so I am changing tactics for awhile.
Prediction:
Thunder 88
76ers 99
tiebreaker: 12 (rebounds by Swift)

I keep picking them because as soon as I don't I know they're going to win and I'm going to be the only one picking against them when they do:) Kind of like washing your car and then it rains. Because if you didn't wash it, it sure as hell wouldn't have rained.

Fine. Say whatever you want, but I'm telling you the Thunder will not win again until the majority of us pick against them.
There is no sane reason for over 60% of us to pick them to win tonight. Their chance of winning this game is no better than 1 in 5. You guys are jinxing us by continuing to pick the Thunder to win. :(

I'm thinking one of these days we'll learn to play the full 48 minutes, not just the last 24 minutes. I hope this is the game. Sixers had a game in Indy last night and and are looking at an inferior opponent. I smell an upset.
Thunder - 94
Sixers - 89
Tiebreaker - Durant with 27 points

I just get annoyed at our blatant homerism. If you're going to blindly pick the Thunder to win every single night even though we're the worst team in the league and are playing like poop, at least back it up with a reason like "last year KD went off for 34 and 28 in his two games v's Philly".

Oh calm down. Believe me, if I'm picking this game for money, I'd put money down on Philly 99 out of 100 times. But, this is wishful thinking for me. I know I may be wrong, but what's the harm? I'm not trying to become an NBA Inside Stuff analyst any time soon.

You're taking this WAY too seriously. Chill out. Blatant homerism! WTF is that heheh? Cracking me up. Gameday threads have always been just for fun. Nothing on the line here my friend. You're a noob, so it's cool. But sit back and chill a bit with the bad vibes.

24-22 Sixers at the end of one. Hate to be pessimistic, but does this mean that we are going to play a crappy second half?:confused::confused:

The guys were walking off the court after the game and I saw on TV some kid mouth the words to Jeff Green, 'can I have that towel (on his shoulder)' and Jeff kept walking and didn't give it to him, LOL.

You jinxed us Rican! ;)
As for the whole thing about us being homers, sure we are, but we're trying to be optimists. Sort of like the old story about the kid who wanted a pony for his birthday. Instead, as a joke, his father had a big box of horse dung brought in. When the kid saw it he dove in and started hurling the stuff over his shoulder left and right. With all that horse dung, he said, there had to a pony in there somewhere.
That's what we're doing when we keep predicting wins. We're looking for the pony. :)

I thought only monkeys flung poo, but in this case, I will keep on flinging poo. We are bound to put an entire game (good 1st half AND good 2nd half) together in the next 72 games, right?

I may be the eternal optimist, but I believe it's going to happen sooner rather than later. Maybe only once in a while, but it will happen.
