Critical showing for us. We've got to win this game and regain some confidence. If we lose this one I believe it is a terrible omen. Early in the season, but we can't afford to lose games like this.

We're coming off a big win over Utah.
You know what our team has a history of doing after a big road win; let's see if we can break that trend. I say the Thunder should take down the Houston Rockets:

I am sad to say that I saw in the Rockets a bit of our 08-09 Team. They had flashes but looked beat early in the third. Missing two starters obviously has something to do with continuity & consistency. But after we stretched the lead to ten the Rockets seemed to be going thru the motions.
I've always likes that team, Adelman, Scola, Yao, Battier, all seem to be class guys and tough but they seemed much less than tough. Got some young'uns like us so I'm sure they won't be down too long. If Yao is finished then they'll need to revamp for the long haul.
Good win for us. Most of the starters got good minutes and also long stretches of rest. With back to back road games on consecutive nights vs Celtics & then Milwaukee the guys will need to pace themselves. Was good to see Mullens if only briefly. DJ White has gained some confidence and played better in the flow of the offense.
Officiating seemed sporadic: let 'em play in first half, then close calls in third quarter then full court mugging later.

Thunder UP!

We play them again in less than 2 weeks on the road. Somehow I get the feeling it will be completely different the second time around. I'm not saying we will lose and they still won't be close to 100% healthy but last night, while very enjoyable, seemed to have everything go our way. We jumped out to the big lead but then they battled back and tied it up in the second quarter. I just hope Green is back by then as I don't see DJ, Nick or even James contributing as much offensively as they did last night.

Enjoy this one TPB. We'll worry about that one when it gets here. :)

Yeah, besides we have bigger fish to fry starting tomorrow, looking for a 2-game winning streak at the Garden. :okc:
