Flashing Lights?

Alright I may be a little crazy... but does anyone else notice that at the top of the Ford there are lights around the arena that are flashing throughout the game?

Maybe they are cameras for the organization taking pictures of the court/arena... but after a period of time... it gets annoying!!!

It's for the photos. I am guessing if it flashed they took a picture.

Are they taking pictures every 30 seconds of the game?

It wasn't a once or twice occurence... it constantly happened last night...

Would not doubt it. There's probably more than one of them connected to the system. They I could be wrong though.

Yeah I really noticed it during the pregame. It was like a strobe light that is attached to the fire alarm exit signs.

in a little kids voice...."how come they can use flash on there camera and I can't!!!"

The lights that you see flash are from the pro photographers cameras covering the game. They are strobe lights stationed in the catwalk. There are usually four of them and they are placed in each corner of the court. Each one puts out about 2400 watts. The photographers have a remote transmitter on their camera and strobes go off when the photographer hit the shutter on his camera. You will usually notice them when a player is driving to the basket because those are usually the money shots.

It does get annoying... but if that's the purpose I'll live with it.
