Los Angeles Lakers (2-0) at Oklahoma City Thunder (0-2), 8:30pm Central time tipoff on Thursday night at the Ford Center.

This is the third game of a round 1 playoff series (Best of 7) between these Western conference teams. The 1stSeed Lakers won games 1 and 2 (87-79, 95-92) of this series over the 8thSeed Thunder earlier this week in Los Angeles but now games 3 and 4 will be in Oklahoma City.

The game will be shown nationally on TNT and also on Fox Sports Oklahoma.

The Thunder were 27-14 at home during the regular season and were 6-4 in their last 10 overall regular season games.

The defending NBA champion Lakers were 23-18 on the road this season but only 4-6 in their last 10 overall regular season games.

The Thunder only shot 40% from the field and were outrebounded by 17 total in the first two games of the series and that will need to improve if OKC wants to win game 3. Also, the Thunder can't fall behind in the first 12 minutes again and expect to come back from a large deficit.

The Lakers only shot 39% from the field and missed 16 total FT's in the first two games but managed to hold on to victory each time. If they don't improve in those areas, they may not be so lucky in game 3 on the road.

Oklahoma City fans rabidly cheered on the NO/OKC Hornets for 2 seasons and after 1 season without the NBA, they have equally cheered on the OKC Thunder for 2 seasons. After 5 years, Oklahoma City gets their first two NBA playoff games. Needless to say, both games are already sold out.

Thunder are favored by 3 or 3 1/2; over/under @ 191 1/2

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/odds

Point spread seems to leveled off at Thunder favored by 3 1/2 (we were underdogs back in March at home) plus the over/under at 191 1/2.

My prediction:

Thunder 102
Lakers 95

tiebreaker 1: 33 (points by KD)
tiebreaker 2: 8 (assists by RW)
tiebreaker 3: 8 (missed FT's by the Lakers)
tiebreaker 4: 1 (scoreboard shots of Khloe Kardashian-Odom)
tiebreaker 5: 18,455 (overcapacity announced attendance)

I would trade Kristic for a bag of ****. I hate him. Hate him. . he doesn't rebound, doesn't score in the post, doesn't defend in the post, doesn't block shots, doesn't rotate and just blocked out JEFF GREEN to allow Pau to get an offensive rebound.

We're the only team in the universe that plays better in front of total strangers than the people that actually pay our salaries and how us support. You forgot that he can not catch the ball aswell ;) And that situation when he blocked Green letting Gasol and Bynum rebound was just hilarious.

Hey, he's a hard worker. But he just can't hold his own with the kind of athletes that he faces every night. So the consensus should be that we need to look at making some kind of move. Nobody knows what Presti is planning to do, and if he is planning something, who knows when and what it will actually be. It's not a knock on Krstic to say that we need to upgrade that position. It's just being honest. He could be a good bench player for us, but he's gotta be out of the starting lineup next year. We have way too many other great pieces to allow that position to be such a weak link. We owe it to ourselves to do what's best for the team, and when I say "what's best for the team"....I mean what actually allows us to compete at the highest level.

I'm glad to see they finally got in a lot of playoff merchandise for the game on Thursday. That was cool to have that truck outside the arena that anyone could buy stuff also.

I could not believe how busy the Thunder shop was before the game and I got there really early. Then after the game, leaving Loud City, WOW, the biggest jam of people I have ever seen at a game. Even the bathroom lines were long during timeouts. :)

there was a lady in a shiny gold minidress behind the Lakers bench and a middle-aged guy wearing a Lakers shirt with her. he looked really really familiar, like some b-list actor that you recognize, but don't know his name? they seemed to know a lot of the Lakers staff...

and the "superfan" James Goldstein was there... the older guy with long grey hair that sat on the court next to press row. he was wearing a leather cowboy hat and long jacket...
