A limited number of tickets for the Thunder's NBA season opener will go on sale at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Ford Center. Fans can begin lining up at 2 p.m.

“We want everyone to be able to witness this historic night,” Thunder spokesperson Dan Mahoney said. “We will always have tickets available on game night and this game is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see history in the making. Between the commemorative t-shirt, the great entertainment acts we have lined-up, and the game itself, it will be a night to remember.”

Festivities for the evening begin at 2 p.m. with a full-blown, pregame block party transforming Reno Avenue into Thunder Alley. Fans can enjoy live music, inflatables, sport courts and BMX stunt shows.

In conjunction with the tickets going on sale to the general public, the Thunder will host the Ford F-150 Drive to Drive to a Sellout directly outside the box office. The first 75 fans in line on Wednesday will wait for tickets in comfortable chairs and receive food samples from Buffalo Wild Wings of Northwest Expressway. In addition, a drawing will be held for 24 lucky fans in line to win Opening Night tickets.

I spend the last three years on this board, analyzing and agonizing over every turn and twist , and then after three years of angst , we get to the day before the culmination of all the wrangling and machinations ............ and Gottlieb and Chit .... Wood wants to come along and attempt to suck part of the joy out of the occasion.

Chit.............. wood .............. your a fool .

And once news gets out that there will be BMX stunt shows, inflatables and sport courts on Reno before the game, these tickets will certainly be gobbled up quickly. And I cringe to think about what Bennett and Co. will come up with for the "Live Music". Probably something like Jack and Ron playing CDs.

Piece of Chit .... wood has four posts on this board, and they're all negative.

Because they held those tickets back for walk ups fool! And if Matt Hoffman is involved in the BMX show, which I'm sure he is, it's probably going to be cool.

Heh. You're like the Cox Commercials. .. And you probably wonder what else you don't know.

Listen, I got jury duty and don't know when or if I'm going to get away. But nothing is going to burst my bubble. I will be there, and "I will have fun". Been waiting for this to long.

C'mon guys. Who cares about pre-shows, mascots, music, etc? We've got the best athletes in the world living and playing here. It's what happens on the court during four quarters that matters, not whether we've got dizzy bats, the Chinese unicycle lady or Thunderstruck on or off the soundtrack.

Four years ago we didn't have a snowballs' chance in hell of getting an NBA team, and now we've got one of our own, with local ownership. I still can't believe it's happening, but I'm not allowing anyone to ruin what will be one of the most memorable sports events in OKC history. I'll be "wearin' the blue" and cheering my lungs out.
