A news release on the Thunder site details the party that will be opening night. Sounds like a great time complete with block party before the game, music, live entertainment and of course the first win of the season. Can't wait.

Where is this release? I can't find it. Also, what good happy hour specials are going on in Bricktown? We used to always go to Halftime or the Brewery before the Hornets games. I've also heard good things about Mickey Mantle's happy hour specials, something along the lines of free appetizers...

I couldn't find the press release either. I think Mickey Mantles has 1/2 price appetizers and drinks. I know Drinkz has 1/2 price drinks from 4-6. I'll personally be at Mickey's!!

Drinkz is my usual gameday stop. They do have smoking in there though for anyone very opposed to that.

Should be a blast. Just got my tickets heh. Talk about waiting until the last minute. Only 170 left when I got mine on stub hub.

The Sheraton's ad on the radio said they would have "Fast Break" appetizers, which would be ready in 5 minutes, I believe.

We always used to go to Deep Deuce for dinner before the game, but I want to be there really early Wednesday, so will probably skip dinner and pick up a snack at the Ice House.

ThunderHead. Sorry for those that use that as a screen name. Pretty much the same stuff,.. cape, etc. I will look ridiculous as usual. My seats suck, but I am just glad to be part of it. I have to go to a meeting in town, but after that I will be wondering around. If there is a reason to yell for ThunderHead bring on the Forum! Thanks

The press release is on the Thunder website. Click on the picture of David Stern on the bottom grouping of news issues and read the release. Or try this--> http://www.nba.com/thunder/#/news/archive/article_release081027 Reno Ave will be closed down and turned into Thunder Ave for the celebration.
