Ford Center Policy?

Does anyone know if you are allowed to bring camera's to the Thunder games this year at the Ford Center? I'm talking professional cameras and not camera phones.

the policy was with the hornets was that you could not take a detachable lens that was not original.

I have the Canon Rebel XTI, the 18-55mm is all they would let me take and that was after arguing with them that if i took the lens off the camera would not work.

Will be taking my Sony A200 DSLR tonight. Alas, my seats aren't as good for photos this time. Maybe I can get that 75-300mm lens and see if they'll let me in with it. :D

Okay, I got the info at the game Tuesday night regarding cameras.

Camera's are allowed including professional cameras. The only thing you cannot use is flash and video cameras. I read it straight off the policy one of the ushers had with him. The team appears to encourage you to take pictures. That is awesome news!

I really hope that's so ... I've got a pretty decent camera which has a detachable "medium" lens which I've never had a problem with at any NBA game. When I went to a Flaming Lips event last year and took a telephoto lens, I couldn't take it in and had to walk back to my car (a few blocks away) before I could enter. Big time bummer.

Sooo ... I think that I'll wait until I hear that telephoto lens' are OK before taking one to a game! I certainly hope that the same is OK.

I didn't take my camera to the Clippers game for that very reason Doug. I didn't want to tote it back to the car. But my mission was to find out if I could bring it in for future games.

When I got to the game I asked the ticket taker coming in and she said that we would except no flash or video. I asked a second usher while heading to my seats and got the same response.

Upon leaving the building after the game I asked another worker and he actually let me look at the policy that was handed to him by the Thunder staff. Right there at the top it said, "Cameras are allowed including professional cameras. No flash or video will be allowed however."

I'll be bringing my small camera bag for the opener. I'll let you know how it goes.
