I agree RicanThunder. We split with the Spurs last season, both in S.A. (and also in OKC). We can beat these guys with our defense and also it won't hurt if Mr. Eva Longoria and/or 'Timmy' are still out of the lineup.

Parker, Duncan practice, game status questionable
SAN ANTONIO (AP)—Tim Duncan and Tony Parker appear closer to returning to the San Antonio Spurs after missing two games with ankle injuries.
Parker and Duncan practiced Friday and were listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against Oklahoma City. Neither has played since hurting their left ankles in a loss last week at Portland.
The Spurs beat Toronto and Dallas earlier this week despite missing their All-Star duo.

hmmm, by "appear closer" they mean "not returning yet"?
Maybe we can go over .500 this weekend.

The oddsmakers favor the Spurs by 8 and the over/under is 184 1/2. That may change a little if Parker and/or Duncan end up playing.
Prediction (by me):
Thunder 88
Spurs 97
tiebreaker: 21 (points/assists by Mr. Eva Longoria)

Its going back and forth. Thunder only trail by 1 with less than 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
I think a lot of people here went to the OU and OSU home games.
Thunder take the lead by 1!

Scotty gotta get 'em back to that little free throw drill we were doing at the end of last season...some sort of f/t shooting contest @ the end of every practice.
We don't blow out opponents, those points "from charity" are SO valuable in tight games.
I was sweating bullets these last few possessions and < 30 secs.
Awesome win nevertheless. Balanced scoring, much better ball control, good points in the paint and really hounding defense...hmm sounds like a recipe for winning NBA Ball ! !
Lets go kick some Clip arses tomorrow evening!

I believe this is what makes this such a wonderful W. Orlando w/o two of their starters and that game make look diff; but "boot blings" were full strength and @ home. Think we get any love from the talking heads yet? :p

Great win tonight by the team. It builds character to pull out close games like this.

Great win, I listened to this game while sitting in Owen Field in the third and fourth qtr, wish I'd been near a TV.
This really surprises me, I think we in for a good season. So much for those worrying about having expectations that were too high.

Think we get any love from the talking heads yet? :pNo kidding. Hopefully some more love from the networks and fan selections of NBATV games and allstars.
I'm so depressed. I set my DVR to record this game as I got off work at 11. I came home and the DVR won't start the game. I called DirecTV and they said their system is down on Sat. nights so they can't diagnose the problem. Please cry for me Argentina.

Just got back from watching my countryman (islandman????) get his ass handed to him by the greatest pound for pound boxer of our generation. Pacquiao is a beast....a tazmanian devil. Mayweather wants nothing of this guy, and I don't blame him. Anyways....great win. I was getting updates from my phone. I stopped receiving updates at halftime because I was pissed at how we ended the half. Letting the Spurs get up by 9 at one point. But then I checked back with about 2 minutes to go in the 3rd and noticed we were up by 3. Damn this team can play some defense. Even though we allowed 98, it seems that our D kept us in it just enough for our offense to take over. Most of the work came from our starting 5, with our big 3 playing like a big 3. Double double for Greenie (10 boards) and Westbrook (11 assts). Durant was being more aggressive. His shot wasn't falling, but he made 13 of 15 ft's. That's what stars do and it seems like he's starting to get calls.
I will say this though....after such a big win, I expect us to get blown out tomorrow. 3 things:
1) Revenge on their minds
2) Us being a young team satisfied with a big time victory from the day before.
3) Us thinking that "we beat this team before, so it shouldn't be that difficult."
I hope I'm wrong, but these three things usually spell out disaster for a young team. Hopefully Brooks gets into their heads and reminds them that the Clippers are bi-polar and can play like world-beaters from time to time. We'll see.

The Clips could win, but the Thunder have been down this road before...the Orlando win. They followed it up with an L at Sacramento, but as may be the case, Kings are no pushover anymore either and was no blow out. I think they keep their heads and win. If they lose it won't be a blow out. They haven't lost by double digits this season.

The Thunder are the NBA's best when holding a team under 100 points - something like 21 of 23 games where they held a team under 100 - they won.

Watching the Spurs game last night a few things were glaring.
First the Spurs have aged considerably-Duncan looks like he is wearing ankle weights and Ginobli is slower, cant play defense & his scoring is no where near the old championship level. Parker looks the same but the shots were not falling. The end of the game was a debacle between the refs, clock operator & Spurs cheap play.
Next we look totally different on both ends when Harden is on the Court. Guy is a flat out player but I have no idea how Brooks can get him more minutes as Thabo is like a straight jacket on the defensive end.

I agree with your comment about Duncan and Ginobli starting to show their age, but we still handed them their first home loss. And, I agree that I like the team when Harden is on the floor. I believe they call what we've got (within reason of course, as we still could use a dominant center) an embarrassment of riches, especially as far as potential is concerned.

I hate it when you're right, Rican. A #4 should have been added - 2nd night of a back-to-back. Early in the game Sunday, the Thunder had NO energy on defense. The crowd picked them up in the 3rd quarter run, but it was just too much of the above....
