View Full Version : Help! Pumpkin Thunder Pattern???

omg... I want to find one so badly so I can carve pumpkins with the Thunder logo! Anyone see a pattern or even know how to make one? You know the kind that you 'saw' out. Thanks in advance!

I would think you could take the Thunder logo and copy it in black and white and blow it up to pumpkin size. Decide what you want to show up as dark and what as light and cut out the portions you want to be light. Then, outline it on your pumpkin and get a small knife so you can carve carefully. I think you might have to carve out the whole outline of the shield and reattach it in the space, perhaps with toothpicks. I would think you might want to carve out the OKC, as well as the blue just below the basketball. Maybe someone has a better idea about how it could be done.

That's a great idea. I may try to do it myself.

Yes, that is where I first saw it... looks awesome!

But the class is $40 and I already know how to carve this way.... we love to do our pumpkins like this every year... I just don't have the Thunder pattern! I could make one if I were more savvy, but alas, I'm not!

If you are going to do the one that is the whole logo and by that I mean the word "THUNDER" over the ball & OKC ect. I recomend you cut the thunder part into 1 template and the rest of the logo into another and lay them out separate.I tried laying it out as one and my "THUNDER" part is going to come out a little uneven, after I seperated the logo it layed out alot better.

It sucks mainly the "THUNDER" but I'm proud of my self for not screwing it up really bad.This was my first time to carve something other than a dumb face I freehanded.

Ok I was going to try and make it to the game Sun. but I doubt I will be able to make it. My idea if anyone wants it was Durantula. I was going to airbrush or carve his head on one pumpkin and use one or two more as the body. Then I was going to add spider legs and paint his jersey on with the name Durantula.I really wanted to do it, but probably can't. It anyones if you want to try it.
