Great news for those of you who like to play videogames. I think I'll have to get NBA 2k9 over NBA Live because of this.

Wow. That's very cool. Hard to believe this is all happening.

Nice ! That will just mean I'll be spending more time playing games rather than doing things that need to get done.

I hadn't planned to get the game, but I definitely will now. It's going to be sweet to see OKC in an NBA video game.

Everytime something like this is announced, it just adds another tantalizing cherry onto the sundae.:D

Thats good. I had read on a video game site that Seattle was going to be included in the game.

While all this is great news, i'm not going to believe it until i see it! I've been looking for the past two weeks on this exact topic and can't find any press release or anything about it being Oklahoma City Thunder... The only thing i've seen or heard is they're going to be called the Oklahoma City OKC's.. we'll see in a few weeks though.

Actually, if you played NBA Live '07, Oklahoma City jerseys were a choice when picking the Hornets. They played the games in New Orleans Arena, but it was still cool to see the guys in OKC jerseys.

So this means the video game people already have the blueprints and color scheme of how the jerseys will look. Also, they have the plans for how the floor will look at the Ford Center.

Yeah, the should anyways... It's apparently all done (jerseys and floor), just not released to the public yet.

I sure hope this is true too. I wish EA sports would have gotten the logo, etc in time. Oh well, I can deal with it.

Oh, it's definitely true.

Confirmed by Gamespot:

While the 2K Insider, Living Rosters, and Association 2.0 are big, it's certainly not the entire story with NBA 2K9. The game will also include five-on-five online play for the first time (we hope to get hands-on with this in the near future) as well as little touches like the correct Oklahoma City Thunder uniform and logo (sorry about that, Seattle Sonics fans), improved crowd animations, and more.

Great news. I'll be picking up a copy.

The 2k basketball games are WAYYYYY better than the EA Sports ones anyway.
