Noon today at the Skirvin. I'm not sure who's televising it, although hopefully all local channels will choose to do so. See what the new uniforms look like (away uniforms, anyway).

I'm listening on the Sports Animal, and BBJ is on site at the Skirvin. Hopefully he'll keep us updated once things start rolling around noon.

Will they be doing a live webcast of the press conference?
Betts

I can't find any telecast live on any station, or or the Sports Animal.

Craig Humphreys is on the Animal now, and he's talking about football right now. He did start the show by saying we should know about the jerseys within the hour, and there may be interviews coming later today. I would think, since the Animal is the "official" sports radio station of the Thunder, they would at least have some of the press conference available...
Edit: I think Mark Rodgers is on location at the Skirvin giving updates on the unveiling. Hump is still talking football, but Mark may not have contact right now because I haven't heard him since before the top of the hour.

Allegedly the unis have been debuted, but Mark Rodgers has not reported back to the Animal yet, per the Humpman. It just went to commercial, and maybe they'll have the report after that. Nothing on NewsOK or the Thunder website just yet.

Unis just unveiled per Mark Rodgers. He said they're the same as what was seen online. Says they kind of look like the Knicks.
Betts

He didn't mention any yellow or gold. I didn't see any on the game either. Guess we'll see.

Where are the pics? You would think something would be loaded onto a website by now. I work pretty close to the Skirvin, should I go over there at lunch?

channel 4 had Collison on, he had on the home uni, and they showed a road uni, which had Oklahoma City on the top, looked ok.

I just saw them. They're almost identical to the unis pictured earlier. There is a very fine line of yellow/gold that didn't show up on the game pictures, but it's thinner than the one pictured previously on the uni thread. The "dickey" has a fine line of navy on the home unis at the top and orange on the away uni.
I still like the home unis better, but the away ones look good too.

Don't like them. The home isn't as bad. I hate the away. Looks like the Knicks. I have always hated the Knicks blue and orange. Those colors just do not look good together to me Oh well crappy logo, crappy suits. Still will love them either way.

That picture is actually is more "contrasty" than the unis looked on the television. The blue is a softer blue, and the orange is not that fluorescent color that it seems to be on the above pic. The colors don't look like the Knicks to me. I really dislike the navy/orange combo, but this doesn't bother me at all. I just like the home ones better. But, I really like how the logo looks on the unis, even though I didn't like it standing alone.

On television, they looked kind of embarrassed. The reporters were making them turn around, and they clearly didn't want to be doing a "style show".

Precisely. There were a few embarrassed grins. I didn't get any sense they hated the uniforms at all, just that they didn't like being there just to show them off.

Kevin Durant, our SG, is taller than our future probable power forward (Green) and our probable starting center (Collison).

Its just like anything else that is brand new it will take some to get used to.

I actually like them. I don't think they're ugly at all. That's just my opinion, however. At least, unlike the logo, there are a fair number of people who like them, recognizing that there's always personal taste involved, and people have different taste.

I like them.
When thinking about the most recent "new teams", I feel this design is far superior to the Diamondbacks, Rockies, Bobcats, Panthers, Marlins, etc.
I think our mascot, when revealed, will help the people on the fence connect with the new image.
Let's play ball!
I like them. The away will grow on me. It reminds me of the Knicks, which isn't a bad thing. The home remind me of the Nuggets. I will be ready to purchase a home one soon! Lets play ball!!

The piping down the sides of the jerseys and shorts on the away uni looks black to me. Anybody else? It's supposed to be navy blue, right?

I think it has to do with the lighting on television. The orange looks almost fluroescent and really contrasty to me as well, and I bet it doesn't look like that live.

This past year Kevin Durant had the 11th best selling jersey in the league. I wonder how far he will fall in the rankings with these hideous things.

How would you have done 'em? Different colors, different name, what? I would not go so far as to say these are bar none the best uniforms in the Association but still the organization has done well for itself with their first kits.

Now it's all a matter of opinion (and perhaps related to a lifelong antipathy to Green Bay), but I think Seattle's colors were far worse than ours. I think that how a jersey sells is related to how a player performs, and the fact that Durant was ROY was why his jersery sold so well.
I also suspect that the away jerseys look a lot better in person than they do in the photos. I realize you don't like the lettering, and that's not going to change, but I think the colors are probably a lot softer than they appear in the photos. TV lighting makes them look harsh, I'm guessing.

I think the jersey's are fine, home and away. I really did not like Seattle' colors, but I'm not fond of green as a uni color.

With a new team and logo and in a new city, sales should be through the roof. I like it we can buy all Thunder players though. Who knows, Swift's jersey might even make the Top 50. :)
