OK, I really like the uni as shown. In the shot at the top of the page, it looks like there's no sky blue in the trim, but when you see the entire uni, it looks great.

Does that look like orange and navy trim, with sky blue lettering to you? If that's the case, I don't like throwing those three colors out there without any sort of link between them. The lettering should match a stripe on the uni somewhere. I can't view the video. Do you have to be a member to watch it?

Yeah, I didn't realize you had to scroll down to watch the video when I first posted. Thanks so much for that link. I think they look great. I bet the away unis look great too, if they're really sky blue with navy and white lettering.

Ya know, I do too. I don't know if I'm getting used to it, it's growing on me or what. I was in a store today and they had a pennant up. I have to admit the Jetsons like quality of it looked kind of upbeat and fun.

Maybe so. When you get down to it, this might be a case of it being a good idea to just put the team name on the front of both jerseys as long as you have a ton of merchandise with "Oklahoma City" written on it for the fans to wear to the games. That and make sure that "Oklahoma City" is written prominently on the floor like along the baselines. According to the video game, that's the case so let's hope they are right.

FWIW, Golden State, the Lakers, Clippers, Spurs, Rockets, Bucks, Celtics, Sixers and Wizards all have the team name on both jerseys and with the exception of a couple alternate jerseys, avoid the city or region name altogether. So it's not like the PBC would be disrespecting the city in any way. They wouldn't be the first to do that and given the awkwardness surrounding the length of the city name, they would be somewhat justified.

The videos were apparently taken down, which is why you don't see what the rest of us saw earlier, but someone re-posted one of them on Youtube. Darnell Mayberry talks about it in his blog, below. I'm delighted, if that's the case, because I think they look great. They've got an unusual color combination, but it really goes well together, and yet the uni itself has a very classic look. It's probably more on the NBA or the video game folks than on the Thunder, although I could be wrong. But I do agree about the realism. In fact, as I was watching the video I found myself getting into the game a bit. Which is a little embarrassing. :) But you do almost have to remind yourself that you're watching a video game.

I think Betts is right that taking down the video is a good indication that these will be what the uniforms will look like. I'd be good with that if so. I think they look very nice. And how about that great looking logo in the middle of the floor? Best logo in the NBA. :)

We've seen the road unis with the "OKC" across the front but I saw 2 different versions of the home uniforms. One with "Thunder" and the other with "OKC". I guess there's still some suspense because I've never heard of a team, other than the Lakers and their Sunday whites, have an alternate home uniform.

For some reason the numbers on those uniforms look more brown to me than purple. I like their gold uniforms much better.

I always wondered why they went with a 2nd set of home unis. I'm guessing it has a lot to do with jersey sales. Everyone owned a purple or gold uniform so they needed to make a 3rd one for those people to buy.
