The Hornets are only 2-6 in their last 8 overall games. The Thunder are 6-2 in their last 8 home games.
The early line has the Hornets as 3 1/2 point favorites.

" Q: Are you keeping an eye on the Sonics news and their possible move to OKC?
A: It was on the news the night before last. I think I saw Gary Payton there and stuff like that. Me, I actually kind of hope the Sonics come here because it would give me an opportunity to come back to the city. Hopefully we’ll play them twice a year here in Oklahoma City. "

I always look forward to seeing Chris Paul and the rest of the Hornets who were here when they played here. But, I'm also hoping they'll get a bit of a surprise this game and the Thunder can either pull off a win, or give them a scare. The Hornets lost some of those games while Chris Paul was out, and he's definitely back, judging by his play in the All Star game. Maybe Tyson will be traded before tomorrow night and we won't have him as a concern:)

They should trade him at half time, he can change his uni on our logo mid court. He wouldnt have to get on the plane back to NO.

The Hornets were 2-2 when CP3 missed the whole game so they have been 'spinning their wheels' for awhile though of course we would love to trade overall W/L records with them right now.
When we played them at home last time, it was PJ's last game and it was arguably our worst game of the year. At least it got us a new (and better) coach. I think we can pull this one off.
We should give Tyson an extra round of applause in case he joins the team later this week.

According to the New Orleans paper, Chandler is probably out tonight. He is still bothered by a sprained ankle.
I was wondering though. I don't regularly read about other teams so some of you might know. Does this kind of stuff get said about other cities?
"They are playing great basketball, and I think they are using the athleticism they have," Scott said. "They are really playing with a lot more confidence than they did the first two times we played them. I told my guys this is not an easy game, and we know how great the fans are there."
This is from Byron Scott. Now I know Coach Scott was one of our favorite sons while the Hornets were here but I have seen several quotes like this. I remember seeing similar stuff said about Sacramento but other than that I havent seen coaches and players talk about fans much.

Hornets are on a bit of a downer... rumors of their demise (financially) are circulating... some players having a tough year and not living up to their contracts...
Thunder are riding a wave of optimism... fresh off a great weekend in Phoenix... young guys are rested and reinvigorated...

Chris Paul puts on a show for his fans in OKC... but so does KD... The real winner tonight are the fans... We get a special treat tonight by the players on the court... Plus we get introduced to our mascot... great night all the way around.

There's the article referred to earlier about Tyson probably not playing tonight. Mo-pete is also out.
I notice our ol' (banned) NOLA buddy Macs-T-chick had some negative user comments there about Oklahoma and Coach Scott. LOL Hey, no hard feelings Mac! ;-)

Hornets return to Sooner State for tonight's game against Oklahoma City Thunder

OKLAHOMA CITY - It is no longer their town, but several Hornets' players and Coach Byron Scott still feel comfortable when they visit the Sooner state.
After Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans in 2005, the Hornets temporarily moved to Oklahoma City where they spent the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons playing before sellout crowds at the Ford Center.
Since returning full-time to New Orleans last season, the Hornets have been successful in the Crescent City. After 26 games this season, the Hornets rank 19th with a 16,758 per game average.
The sellout crowds at the Ford Center are now for the Oklahoma City Thunder since relocating from Seattle after last season. The Thunder rank 12th in the league in attendance with a 18,578 per game average.
The Hornets play the Thunder tonight at the Ford Center where a sellout crowd is expected. It's the Hornets' second and final trip to Oklahoma this season. On Nov. 21, the Hornets defeated the Thunder 105-80 in front of 19,136 at the Ford Center.
"It's cool because it brings back memories from when we played here,'' shooting guard Rasual Butler said.
On Monday, the Hornets conducted their practice at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla., which was their practice facility when they played in Oklahoma.
"It always feels good being back here,'' Scott said. "SNU was obviously our practice site for two years and it was good to be here to see their coaches who we used to see on an everyday basis. It's a very good facility.''

Thunder lose 100-98. A day late and a dollar short, once again. No sign of Tyson. He practiced for the Hornets on Monday at Ford Center. Apparently he went back to NOLA to pack and move to OKC.
I do like the mascot, though I think he is rated PG-13. Taking pictures of womens bottoms as they walk away? Hmmmmm. :)

I thought they did a great job... they fought hard, came back and got extremely close to a win.
The mascot is fun.. I didn't have a negative spin on his picture taking..... PG13 - lol, the Thundergirls show enough 'bottom' to keep any 13 year old entertained.
