You guys ever get the feeling that LA Lakers won't win with their current roster? I think that they have the passion to win, but at some point, I think they have too many superstars (and not enough bangers). If they don't win now, will they be able to re-sign all those great back ups (Ariza, Farmar, Vujacic, Radmonavic et. al)? Will Portland be able to do anything with all their promise? I just don't think that having that many superstars is a good thing. Three superstars is pushing it. I know that Boston has the big three but those were seasoned veterans that were no longer worried about how many minutes and stats that they were able to accumulate. LAL won all those years with Shaq and Kobe and some role players that fought really hard (Derek Fisher!). San Antonio first won with Robinson and Duncan and Parker and Ginobli came along so they ended up winning with 3 great players (with Ginobli not concerned about coming off the bench). I just don't see how anyone on the Lakers makes the last shot except Kobe and he won't make everyone of them. Odom is trash and constantly chokes. Gasol did a disappearing act last finals and Bynum... really? These teams with tons of stars will win the regular season but when it gets tough, they get confused and start looking for the exits. So, all this hype about Portland? I don't think it comes to fruition and the Lakers will not win a championship with this combo IMHO. What do you guys think? How many superstars did MJ play with (Jeff Green.. I mean Scottie Pippen)?

Sorry. This should probably be in NBA Talk, but I thought of posting this b/c I was so excited that we already have our core and are probably not going to do what Portland and LA have done. Go Thunder!!!!

I get the feeling that when we draft a good player in this year's draft, we will have four potential future all-stars on one roster.

Then we will have a couple years to see what we can do with the young talent before it's time to decide which ones we need to resign, and the one or two that we aren't able to afford will move on to be a centerpiece somewhere else.

In the future, it will be like a trivia question. People will be saying, "Did you know that at one point, Dwyane Wade, Chauncey Billups, David West and Pau Gasol all played for the same team?"

Or rather, "Did you know that at one point, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Jeff Green and (Griffen/Harden, etc.) all played for the same team?"
