According to the ESPN Lottery/Mock Draft; they project the Thunders draft board today would look like . . .
1) Blake Griffin
2) James Harden
3) Greg Monroe
4) Ricky Rubio
I dont know if they have any idea what is going on in Presti's head; but they seem to think Rubio is further down the Thunder's wish list then most.

Most likely because we drafted our "PG of the future" at #4 about seven months ago. Taking Rubio would create a jam at PG, and with what I've read about Rubio's ego, he would not be cool with splitting minutes here. Plus I've read some reports that have him wanting to play in a big market (remember the Yi Jianlian to the Bucks drama?) All in all I would have Rubio at least #4 if I were Presti. Just not a good fit IMO.

Could we not just continue what we have been doing this year where we play both Westbrook and Watson on the floor at the same time. (with the exception that it would be Westbrook and Rubio).
I was also wondering, if he was the best player when we pick could we not draft him and then trade him (or just trade the draft pick) for a good young shooting guard. Although I have not been following the NBA long and not really sure what we could get in exchange for a rookie PG.

Well, Rubio got a lot of hype in the summer olympics so there might be some truth to being able to trade him for a lot more than he is worth to us.
Salmons might work but I'm very concerned about the whole chemistry thing. Weaver is not a starter b/c that is a very important piece to a team and he just doesn't have that shoot first mentality (he passed up the shot innumerably the last two times) but keeping him in the starting lineup will only help him gain confidence. And, Weaver is a big part of that chemistry b/c they all enjoy being together and that is huge for a small market. I want Weaver in our reserves and maybe Salmons wont mind being 2nd, third even fourth fiddle to our group of stars but I just worry about having that many stars.

I dont think you will have to worry about Rubio since all the talk is that he will NOT come over this year.
